Textbookbandit.com Support & FAQ
questions
Can I charge a fee if the book I am trading is worth more than the book I am receiving?

NO. Textbookbandit.com makes finding college textbooks easier and more affordable by removing the element of price. There will be times that your book is worth more than the book you need for your next class. But, there will also be times that the book you have is worth less than the book you receive. Simply trade a book you no longer need for a book that you need for next semester. Save yourself college money and save the environment in the process.

questions
Can I trade with students in other colleges?

No. (not at this time) Since most books vary by college we do not facilitate cross-college trades.

questions
Why do I have to meet in person for a trade?

There are a few reasons for this. The first reason is that textbookbandit.com eliminates the element of price by also eliminating shipping and 'handling' fees. The second is that you both have the opportunity to inspect your books before completing the trade. The third and final reason is to encourage students to play-it-safe by meeting on their own campus in well populated student areas.

questions
What if there is a subscription or other insert that comes with the book?

When trading used books you should assume that all subscriptions are void and that all CDs or other book inserts are not present. If a subscription, CD or other insert is a requirement for your upcoming class, then you should purchase a new book through your college bookstore. All trades are FINAL so please check your class requirements before initiating or completing a trade.

questions
Is this really 100% free for college students?

Yes. TextbookBandit.com does not charge students any fees whatsoever. We do have non-intrusive (no pop-ups, light-boxes or other annoying advertising) sponsor advertising for related services where we make a commision. If you cannot find a trade, please consider using one of our third-party sponsors services for renting or purchasing books at a reduced cost.

questions
How does TextbookBandit.com make money?
